Caravan to "Austin" (San Marcos)

4 car pileup northbound = 75 minute delay
3 car pileup southbound = 2.5 mile stacked

Guys your map sounds old. The Tollway ends at Hwy 183 just south of Hwy 1327 (goes thru Creedmoor to I35 at Buda) and just north of Hwy 21. If you take a left from the toll way on Hwy 183 go to Hwy 21 and go west (right off Hwy 183) it will take you to I35. you will be south of worst part of Austin's parking lot. Turn south on I35 and you will be at McCarty Lane in no time.
The tollway isn't cheap but there is hardly any traffic on it and it is 70 MPH from just north of Georgetown to the end at Hwy 183.

To all who will be joining our caravan to San Marcos on Thursday morning.
Please meet at IHOP located at Alsbury and 35W South at 9:00 am this will be approx one mile North of Burleson, the IHOP is on the Northbound side of the highway. The IHOP backs up to a LOWES parking lot so there will be plenty of room for parking. We will be having breakfast here so don't worry if you get caught in traffic or find yourself running a little late we won't leave without you. We will also be stopping in Waco to let everyone strech there legs etc then on to San Marcos.

For the west side people going down thursday morning, you are welcome to join us.

John, I'm leaning toward an early departure around 6 am to get through Dallas before the rush hour. John Ross said he wants to leave 8:30-9:00, which will mean he will be behind you a couple hours. Who else is definitely traveling with you? Because if there isn't anyone, I'll just wait for you at the CB.
