Same tire dilemma for me, shure like the G Y B Bs look. The M Ts sound interesting also.

Here are my new Coopers. Pretty much the same as the MT's that I can tell from all the technical data. The black side and the white letter out sides have different designs. I prefer black walls, so I got a cool Cobra snake...
295/50/15 in the rear and 235-60-15 up front

I have the goodyears and they are horrible. I wish I would have gone with the Avons for traction purposes, but the look is just not there....

There you go again - splashing those great pictures of that beautiful ERA around so we can drool over them some more.

I have MTs on my ERA - basically the same tire but without the classic Cobra snake on them.

Others with MT S/R tires have mentioned air pressures of 24lbs up front and 26lbs in the rear. Are these the ideal pressures for these cars?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I run 24 psi front and 20 psi rear on mine. Seems to work well for me.

Running the M/T SR's.

Last time at Willow Springs dropped the pressures from 24 front/26 rear down to 22 front/20 rear.

At the higher pressures the front end would hunt in/out when cornering hard.

Lower pressures it settled down and seemed fine.

Pete,

Are you back to 24 front / 26 rear back on the street?

Glad you mentioned it...yes...I put them back up about that ~24/~26.

Reminds me to try the fronts at higher pressures to make it easier to park.

When the car isn't moving turning the steering wheel is a bit much these days with bad shoulders.

Pete

I'm running Ets and find the opposite pressures to work best. 24 rear and 26 front. Too much in the back and it gets loose easier. Too little and it gets sloppier. The fronts like a bit more pressure like Pete mentioned the steering is much nimbler and easier at slow speed. This is street driving only.

John
