hehehe... I don't have any paint. My car is naked.
Even in mild street driving they are horrible. What happens when some idiot cuts you off and you have to "Panic Brake"? The BFG's offer no control and just slide.

T/A's are like driving on hockey pucks; get the Avon's. There is no comparison.

Ah, remember the good old days when the original T/A's first came out? In 1975 I had a set on a Datsun 510 (with Corvair wheels and a BRE suspension) that couldn't have weighed any more than my Cobra, yet they were so soft (and sticky) that I only got 10,000 miles! They had out-of-round problems then too...

I had TA's on my '82 RX-7 for about an hour. Was raining the day I got em in NY. Went right back to the tire shop & got them off in one quick hurry!! I hav'nt done that much hard driving in mine yet to say how thay are on this particular vehicle, but chances are, and according to most of the owners here, they won't be very good!

Key point here is .......NOT TO DRIVE IN THE RAIN!!!
I have them and like the look, but I don't race it either! I drive on the street, have taken them in the curves and hit it hard once in awhile....and as long as you are moving....not bad, really, not bad! Now, there are definitely better tires....for sure, but the white lettering thing is hard to find, and the Billboards hunt too much on the street. So, if you are looking for a particular look, and size, we are definitely limited.
By the way.....my car has 550 hp and torque. I know from a start it just spins......so moving helps.....but also, on the street, I always remember what I am running, and I guess it helps keep my foot in 'respect mode'
Ok........flame on....................fred z

I Like THAT look!! Very Cool!!!
I HAVE experienced TA's on dry roads as well, which I should have stated, and did not like them much. I do feel they will give different preformance characteristics on different types of vehicles though. I guess that's a big........ DUH!!

I would still love to see someone come out with a nice agressive tread pattern (dunlop style), sticky, 15inch tire for our cars. There is definately a market for it. NOTHING looks as period correct as a 15 inch tire IMO!
