the 15 x 7.5 wheel we have is 3 1/8" back space 5 pin wheel, the 6 pin trigo 7 1/2" wheel has 3 3/8 back space so this wheel should not rub the tie rod, as for the brake where does it rub. On the face of the caliper, or on the od or id of the caliper?

Scott, any pics? How about pricing. On the 5 pin any chance of a deeper backspace?
Thanks, John O

Hello All,
I visited the Team Three folks today and talked to Scot and his wife Jin.
I spent about and hour there and they are in the midst of getting the mold mocked up and starting the process to manufacture the wheels. The question we need to answer is who wants them and what are the specifics of what you want. Scot hasa 40 year old wheel sitting on his office floor as a model but, the new wheels will be new Aluminum, Clear coated etc. etc.
Here is a link to the T3 web site with wheel & tire sizing to help with your input.
http://www.team3wheels.com/ac/
There is also a tire sizing chart at the same web site.
15 inch 0r 17 inch
What widths for the front and rear wheels.
Five pin or six pin drive.
Scot as for me 8 x15 front 10 x 15 rear, Five pin compatible with the Trigo used on either the SPF or Shelby CSX.

Scott, I would certain be in for a set if the price is right. Same as Tony in size for a Shelby CSX47XX (6 PIN)
thanks,

Scott, if you can make the backspacing for the front 3.5" or preferably 3.6" and the back3 1/8 for the 5 pin Trigo, then I'll place an order. As long as they are competively priced with the vintage or Trigo wheels. John O

Any new developments on the Sunburst wheels? I put down a deposit on Vintage "Halibrand style" wheels with Bob but really wanted a Sunburst wheel for my ERA Street car replica.

Thanks for the reply Team III. Is there a tentative date for wheels to be available for sale yet?

Any news when these will be available. It's not that I'm impatient, it's just that I can't wait. John O

Tony:
This is my ERA Street car with 428 PI, Sunbursts, etc. Call me if you want to discuss. I PM'd you, not sure if you ever responded. I bought the stock ERA rear and had no problem putting these Sunburst on with NO modifications to the wheels at all. Original Sunburst were 7.5 x 15 front and rear. The original look is to have a "wide gap" in the rear wells...some love the look, some hate it. I like the look..but who am I...

That's the look I think of when I think of Sunburst wheels on a Cobra. Great looking Cobra!

Tony, are you doing S/C flares on a street car? Do CSX cars come with 5-pin hubs?

Might be possible to cast the wheels w/o pin holes and drill them for what ever hub or adapter the customer has?

of course the wheels will be cast with no pin holes, they are allways done at the machining stage.

Wow, this deal seems to be cooking along.
Scott - the Tommy's is Tommy's Auto center on East 14th San Leandro, not Meekland in Hayward. Use the number I emailed.
Personally, I like the Trigo offsets for the rear. I like the "filled" fender look but I also like the idea of more rubber in the rear to keep the back end under as much control as possible.
The Sunbursts are the same front and rear.

Hi Rodney,
The CSX Fibreglass car come with the same body as the SC, so the whell wells would look filled with a 10" wheel with either a 275 50- 15 or a 295 50 -15 tire.
Kurtmart, Team three is planning wheels in many widths, the same as their current AC wheeel.
The Shelby uses the Trigo five pin drive adapter.

The new shelby CSX cars have 6-pin drive hubs, like the original, with the same back spacing.
The original sunburst wheels were the same for the front and rear as equipped on original CSX3000 street cars. Original Sunburst wheels will not fit the original S/C or Comp cars without some modification, as these cars had the bigger girling brakes as compared to the street 427 cars. Some of the new CSX cars (early ones) have these same bigger girling brakes, others have the Baer which I'm not sure if original sunburst wheels will fit.
