Default B&B Transmission removal

I'm going to remove my Tremec 3550 from my B&B cobra myself. I want to do this without removing the engine as I have no room in the garage during the winter for much else. Does anyone have any experience or input as far as trouble spots or any special points for this.

The trans has a removable cross member. The tail of the trans has a boss section at the bottom, which serves no purpose other than to possibly restricting rear movement of the trams going in the K member drive shaft hole. I was thinking of cutting this off which would give me more movement to the rear..
Any input would be appreciated.

I changed out a T5 in mine in about 2 hours.

That's good news, A T5 is 1 1/2 longer than a TKO
Wbulk also pulled a T5 without any problems

I pulled a 3550 out of a B&B 2 years ago and replaced the throw out bearing, piece of cake.
We used a two post lift and Jeff help me set it on the floor.
The hard part is the shifter. It has to be removed to get the trannie out. I had to roll the trannie to one side and remove two bolts and then roll it to the other side so I could remove those two bolts.
