Orskov,

I swapped a Ford C4 auto for a Ford 4 speed about three ago. Had to do this on the cheap... so all parts came used from a mustang with the exception of the pedal assembly and hydraulic clutch slave cylinder. These included: block plate, flywheel, bell housing/clutch fork, transmission/shift linkage, and starter motor.

Replaced the single brake pedal with a Wilwood pedal assembly. Took a while to properly locate the pedals in the coorect location. New (three) master cylinders too.

Had to fabricate brackets to hold the clutch slave cylinder.

Had to fabricate a new transmission cross member.

Had to have a new drive shaft made.

Had the flywheel resurfaced. New clutch disk and plate.

Add pilot bearing to crankshaft.

Add an assortment of nuts, bolts, bracket material, fluids, etc.

As mentioned above, had to cut a new hole in trans tunnel.

Sold the auto tranny and probably have another 1000 dollars US invested. All installation/fabrication was done by me. The only job sent out was the drive shaft. If you can do all the work yourself, you'll save a lot of money from labor costs.

Good luck
