Not Ranked
Gordon has been a straight shooter in the few dealings I have had with him. I would ask him if these blankets are rated for this purpose. I heard rumblings that the blankets are only rated for use over an automatic tranny bellhousing and not necessarily for a standard tranny bellhousing. I have no way if verifying if this is true.
If it turns out they are rated for this purpose, I may also go this route as my Lakewood is being a real nightmare to fit around my frame rails even after cutting a chunk out of it to fit. The blanket would definitely be an easier alternative if it is rated for the purpose by SFI and accepted by SCCA so I can use it on track days. Besides, I really like having my legs attached to my body and would like to keep them that way.
