Found it...
Called Centerforce and he said there's not enough clearance Clarence for the throwout bearing to move up and down that much, so the fork must have come loose from the bearing clips. I said makes sense and thanks.
So started messing with the fork while trying to peak up inside the bellhouse and guess what the bearing was moving up and down. Hmmmm....
So pull the tranny out, and guess what - wrong bearing size - the hole in this one is 1 3/4" and the Tremec input shaft is a good bit smaller than that. So the thing was wobbling all over the place.
Now, I'll go replace it, but I'm not sure how I ended up with the wrong one.....
