Hey Kid,

I am having my SPF built now, 3.46 Dana rear, I am using the Avon 295/50/15 rears (26.7" diameter).

Isn't 26-2800 rpms a lot to cruise at? (70 mph)

Thanks for posting, would like to get your opinion since you have the same setup I am getting.

I would suggest you go with the .82 OD. I have a 3.42 rear, a TKO-600 with the .82 OD, and an 511" FE and am very happy with this combination.

Stentor, thanks for posting.

What rpms are you running at 70 mph cruise, and does it feel like too much?

Thanks!

I started with the 0.64 and the 3.31.it was way to tall, about 1800 rpm @ 70.changed out tranny with the 0.82. Its perfect now 2400 rpm @ 70.

My CR has a 351w with 400+ ponies and torque, I have a 3.27 rear and a
T-5z with the .64. I'm about 78 mph at 2k and it was a little steep until I
started adding 1 gallon of 110 avgas per about 10 gal of our 92 octane here
and it made all the difference for me. I can cruise at 60 no problem in 5th,
if I need some extra there is always 4th close by. Here on Oahu there aren't
many places to go much faster and if busted for over 80 it is jail time.
Nice weather but no roads and way to many 5 0's running around with their
lasers.
