New toy for me is an ERA #389
Oh, and I forgot to mention, we're tossing around the idea of a grand prize for whoevers' car stereo can cause permanent hearing loss quickest, as well as the tallest wing (the more levels, the better...ideally like a biplane or triplane), and the most stickers. Runner up prize for the most bondo holding on a Pep Boys "aero kit".

Bring the ERA, would love to see it. I think we're going to have a nice variety of makes and models. I'm still trying to follow up and see if those original cars are going to attend.

I was just informed that the local fire company will be bringing one of their squirt trucks to the event. The squirt probably extends several stories high. We're going to have a photographer who will go up there and get some great arial photographs of the cars. So we need as many cars as possible to show up and make for an awesome picture. Maybe even a poster?? Think we should start another thread about the photos?

Just over 3 weeks left. Our list is growing every day. The parking lot we have is HUGE, and should make for some great photo opportunities. If we clear it out, maybe we can set up our own autox.

You don't need a hood.

Rick,
I guess we'll start posting about Sunday soon. Registration is starting at 8am, so I suspect we'll be leaving around 6:45am or so.

Not a problem. We've had a large number of them coming in over the past several days. Usually, the majority of our registrations come in the last 14 days, so we're ready. Can't wait!!

Trularin,
That's OK, we'll hook up one of these days.

If anyone else is still planning to attend, please either e-mail me, post here or somehow let me know. We will happily take walk ups, but it makes it easier on us to know in advance.

As for Sunday, I think some groups will meet at Washington Crossing Park early in the morning and caravan up there. I will probably leave from home, as it's much closer that way. The website for the local SCCA is www.phillyscca.org You'll see the link to the event on the front page. You can get directions there. I think it's fairly close for you Jersey guys if you want to attend. Not too far off of Rt. 78 into PA.

You are always on the fence up until the last minute. Need to simplify your life - lol. Look forward to seeing you and the car (hopefully).

I'm planning on going. Girlfriend is coming back from Europe next week and will be going also, I think.

I have the application, and the check here. Just haven't mailed it pending final approval from the better half.

She won't drive in the rain though. Something about hair and makeup....

Default PUH leeezzzz

Riding in the Cobra pushes the hairline back and all the makeup to the sides of the face anyway. But it does take out the wrinkles, at least for a little while. Maybe if I spray some clear lacquer on her first.....Hmmm

If I can cross an ocean in a 23ft open boat in less than 2 months (with my twin "arm"strong engines) I can pretty much handle a little rain. But alas, I'm in love, and yield to "m'lady's wishes".

jamvan JimI will be there, I want to park next to a real cobra Mine is still prettier but yours cost more Just don't know which hood to bring. The car is 8 years old and the paint color is different than the new hood. Like the way it sits. See you on Sat unless it rains, then I am working for Sun. Have a safe trip. Steve are you having Skirts again?? Rick Lake

Rick:

I never said mine was a "Real Cobra" unlike others. But I am sure with that little supercharged engine of yours, you will blow the doors off me little 427 since I am only pumping out about 550hp.

I may actually bring the CAV GT, depends if the other half is coming. Will probably decide Friday night. I drive the piss out of the Shelby this weekend and looks like I need to do a rocker adjustment. Will try to get to it before the weekend.

Rick, by the way, who says yours is still prettier than mine.

Jim
