Hey Scott, and welcome to NC!

If you're settled in already, haven't run the western NC mountains yet and want to break the 'ole girl in right: weather-willing we'll be running the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway this coming weekend.

I know Bob's not going to be able to make it this time, but I'm not sure about the rest of the Raleigh crowd. Tentative schedule is here:

Anyone up for a 2012 Tail of the Dragon / Cherohala run?

Otherwise, it's that time of the year... we'll probably get some other "fall foliage" drives in as weekend days allow.
