To bad about the rack. We had a decent turn-out. Had 2 FFR, 2 EM, 1 CR, 1 SPF, and 1 Kirkham. And we were missing two of the usual suspects! I will be there sans Cobra this Saturday..... wife will be out of town and I can't figure out how to get both kids in the Cobra! Guess I'll have to take the family truckster instead.

Hello VA Cobraphiles:

I know that there is a usual gathering of troups at the Manassas Burger King on Sat night most of the summer. What I was curious about is when do you all stop going?? It is the 27th of Aug and I am still finishing the fine tuning of the new Weber set on my beast and I need time to get it "perfect" and to then detail away all of the summer's work dirt before I can make it to the Burger King. Do you guys show up after Labor Day? I hope to get a chance to meet everyone before the season is over. I actually look forward to the fall evenings - cooler less humid drives. Let me know.

Hey zimmy, if you're going to show up w/ something sporting webers, then the rest of us will stay home since nobody will look at our cars!!! Just kidding. Come on down, even if you have some dirt still in place!!

There really is no start/stop date. People just keep showing up as long as the weather is nice. We usually get 3-6 Cobras there on any given saturday, with as many as 9-10 on one occasion. We also have a loosely formed Capital Area Cobra Club. We get together for cookouts, cruises, etc.
Look forward to seeing you and your snake. When do you think you'll be able to come down?

I was wondering if anyone will be planning on going this weekend or will the holiday weekend slow everyone down? I might be ready by the weekend and Sat night sounds like the weather may be cool and nice. Would like to meet the rest of the local crazies if they are going to be there. If not this weekend - maybe the next.
