Calling All Weber IDA experts
I purchased my Webers second hand and noticed that the Aux. Venturi were cut to the height of the carb body. I have no idea why this was done. Some say that it my be to fit an aircleaner on the carb
I would like to find out if it is worth me purchasing new Aux. Venturis which are pretty expensive for all 8.
I have been running into some qurks with the Weber set but nothing that everybody else has not expierenced already. I have tried the standard setup with plus or minus values
Standard setup
37 choke
120 air holders
55 - 65 idle jet
F7 emulsion tube
210 air corrector
165 main jet
55 bleed Pump bypass
Timing at 38 degrees at 3000 rpm
fuel pressure 2.5 - 3 psi
Will the cutting of the Venturi change the carb setup?
