........There are 2 Portillo's in Naperville! One is on Ogden Ave (rt 34) right near the I88 exit (easy access). The other is on rt 59 just north on the Fox Valley Mall. There is also a 59 exit from I88 so it would be easy to get to either spot!

How far from Lincoln Park is Naperville?? Do you need to be a member of the WCCC to attend?

Casaleenie,
If you make it to Chicago, You can go.
No you don't have to be a member of WCCC.

To answer your first question about 50 min to an hour.
@aprox 60-65 mph. or on a non rush hour basis.

rush hour an hour and a half .
give or take

Casaleenie,

I live in Lincoln Park and I work in Naperville - it's a %$#$%$ type of a drive. Seriously, it's about 35 miles one-way; just about a direct shot on the express/tollway system. That means it's a major route for commuters. During peak travel times 1 to 1- 1/2 hours is about right. Off hours 30 minutes or so.

Hello all,

So it looks like we have Jan 10th @ 5:00pm

Is there a place picked out yet?

It seems to me it shouldn't be too hard to find a spot
aftrer the Holidays.
I would think retaurants would be slow....

Do we have a head count?

Default Jan. 10th Meeting

Snake Oil,
I would expect a good turnout and if we plan to conduct any business, I for one think we would need a seperate room so people could be heard. If it is just meant to be a social affair, a seperate room would still be nice but not absolutely necessary.
I'd be glad to help with anything up north but it would probably be best to land around Schaumburg so it's moreless central to everyone with good highway access. If you want to secure a place around there, let me know and I'll get on the case. The WCCC's annual Spring Poker Run will be set for May 23rd if that's good with everyone!

It never rains on our Poker Runs! Might snow, but it surely won't rain! I'd opt for the 30th which I know is Memorial Day weekend but might even work out better since most folks would not have to rush home and worry about going to work on Monday. Some maybe headed out of town but we can take a pulse at the meeting on the tenth. Can't do the 16th as it's the wifes birthday. Like the top you got for the Mutt! Looks really good!

What's the name of that "funky" Jungle restuarant in the mall? That's kind of a neat place......they may have private rooms also. Where has it been held in tha past? -Or are you guys looking to try something different?

Default Schaumburg Meeting Place

Blas,
Would appear you know the territory pretty well! Do you want to take the lead on finding us a site? I think, not sure Maggiano's has private rooms and it's easily seen from the expressway. If we're meeting at 5:00pm we shouldn't have much trouble getting into a place on Jan 10th. Last years meeting was held at the Carraugh (spelling?) and they had a private room for us. More of a bar than a restaurant though and pretty noisy, hard to hear. Do we want a sports bar or restaurant? Since significant others may be in attendance, I would assume we want a restaurant. Let me know your thoughts? Mark, Snake Oil, if you are keeping up with this thread, pipe in with your thinking as well!

Hi guys!
Gary since we have a date set narrowing down a
restaurant shouldn't be to hard.
But I belive we still need a head count?

Mark, Sid, where are you guys?
or maybe we should just say about 30?
and go from there? Thats probably what I would do.
We can always up the head count one week before.
Who is in charge of the retaurant anyway?
There's my two centavos.
