Blas,In your case; you would need to know the secret (Blue Car) handshake into to get this information.

Otherwise, it’s one of those; yea, we could tell you, but then we would have to…………

Oh what the heck – put me down as the event coordinator.
Let’s see an alternative date – no, no we do not need one. I just looked it up in the Cobra Almanac. It is supposed to be bright and sunny that day with a chance of showers after sunset. So we are good to go.

By the way I take personal offense to you calling me a ‘gentlemen’ don’t let it happen again.

I was talking with Dave Simpson of St. Charles , some members may know him from Muscle Car Mag. he has 57 muscle cars in his St Charles warehouse. I ask if he would give the Cobra Club a garage crawl in the late spring. He said he would and that we may get him to lite up a few. He has the first 428 Shelby Mustang,W30 Olds, Stage One Buick GS, Hemi Charger , 427 65 Ford , 409 SS Impala . Club members what Think???

Not nearly a long enough drive for me. Seriously, that would be GREAT!

I think we should vote Bob for Preident. That Garage Crawl sounds like the best S/E ever. I'm in for that one |

If one was really anxious for spring he may result to actually counting the days from today as 40! But then who's counting????
Has anyone decided if there was a ride destination after meeting in Matteson for snake and eggs? Or for those from the north side, would you considered that enough of a ride? From Orland my pipes will just be getting warm to the touch. And this is the first ride of the year.

Keith Yes, after breakfast we will drive over to Gess Motorsport in Crete. I realize that is also not a long trip fpr you.
Maybe we will get luck and have great warm weather before the 100 day Snake & Eggs - then you can put some miles on the car before that then.

What about you Sid? What's your deadline? We want to see 'ol 244 on the road also. No more Sid seat. No more Sid seat. No more Sid seat. Not more Sid seat. No more Sid seat.

I actually told the wife that I would stay home with the kids for spring break. Boy was she surprised. She thinks I am trying to redeem myself for the cost overages that are now coming out of the budget. Who was the knucklehead that said this could be done for 35k?
I am hoping to drop engine/trans in on April 2nd or 9th at the latest. If anyone is interested in helping I would be glad to have ya.

Sid, I sent you the questions list that I have been trying to work out with Bill. I think Marty and I have a pretty good handle on the electrical. So after we practice on my car we will be ready for yours. Now that's a guinea pig that anyone would want to be or at least half the anyone’s.

 Jeff

I don't know when it's going to show up exactly. Which I understand. It's on a boat! I do know that. Right Reg? LOL! It gives me more time to get the motor/trans ready so I can just drop it in and go.
The guess is around April 8th arrival in FL. And after that its up to Customs and Stewart Transport to get it to me.

I want my COBRA!!!
Everybody else gets one...not fair!
So who am I going to be riding with to the snake and eggs with?

Sid

I'm getting ready to start on my spring punchlist. Once completed I will wait for the first nice day and take a long test ride to check everything out. Someone said something about a ride to St. Charles to check out some vintage street fighters. Let me know when that one gets scheduled on the calendar. I look forward to the first snake-n-eggs just to place some faces with these emails and let Sid drive my car... no... I was already warned about that wasn't I? Never mind!

 Jeff,
When you are ready to drop the engine/transmision in, send out an announcement to the club. My guess is there would be a few guys in the club willing to help out. I for one would like to be there to assist if possible. I don't have much experience when it comes to installing an engine. However at least I have an extra set of hands to hold onto something when needed.

 Mark

 Sid,
Rich Lacy is supposed to be picking it up on 3/18/05 and then delivering it the following week. I can't believe it is almost here.

I can just imagine you must be dying to get yours. Too bad you don't have a GPS tracking device on the shipping vessel. I can see you now logged into the radar screen checking out how far out at sea it is. Soon a day will come when there will no longer be a "Sid seat". You'll be the man in the driver seat!
Mark
