The only two engine builders that I would take my engine to in the Chicago suburbs are:

Speed Performance Engineering in Wauconda 847-487-RACE, the owner is Mike. He’ll have a dyno soon.

Speedfreek in Lake in the Hills, 847-854-6288, the owner is Ed. He dynos all motors.

Any updates on this?

AFM actually sources their engines from DSS.

Since DSS is local are they worth talking to? I've heard of problems here/there on the corral, but they were all long distance probs.

Anyone have any experience with www.f-p-s.com?

I am looking strongly at EngineFactory.com They quoted 5 grand for a TurnKey 460 engine with 450hp 500 torque. All I will need is the hoses and I'm set.
