Synopsis:
Either wire will work. I prefer the thinner.
Wire is just to check the spinner not hold it on.
Get the longer, spring loaded pliers.
Be stingy with the anti-seize.
I might add to purchase one of the spinner removal tools as they are much easier to use when removing the spinner than the lead hammer.
