I would enjoy so much to be thrown away from the track for breaking the time-limit!!!This would be the happiest day of my life. Still 1.9s to improve for me.......
Requesting full cages for fast car which are street legal is not logical since any time on empty roads (no traffic, no pedestrian, no house),
I can accelerate at full power if there is no policeman in sight.

Going that fast is great. That mph is good for mid to low nines with good traction.

I am aware of at least two more fast Cobras deep into the 8's. One owned by Rocky Keyes and the other I can't remember. I think it was a Shell Valley car from the Northern U.S.

My question is, do these 7 and 8 second Cobra's get driven on the street? Dave drive's his regularly from Defiance to St. Charles. Not downplaying the faster cars, but there's always someone faster depending on the setup.

Purple Venom makes a good point. David ran the drags in Tulsa last summer then drove the cobra over 400 miles home!

That is very fast, congrats. I'm amazed they allowed a 2nd run. A full cage and NHRA license is normally req'd to run under 10 seconds or over 135 mph. I wish a track would let me have a couple runs. Cheers.

Maybe you guys with corvette susp. can give me a few set-up tricks. And are you running aluminum shafts or steel? Is the housing aluminum or steel? Do you have any kind of traction add-ons? I hope to be in that club sometime.
Email some pics to me or post something on this site.
Thanks guys.

I'm running the complete C4 rear, all stock. Aluminum half shafts and center sections. 3.54 gear. I think because of the IRS it hooks great and plants straight. I've found the limit, power wise, and mine will be coming out over the winter.
