Contemporary has been gone for decade however they have a strong following in the forum section of this site.

Nice thing about CCX is they are a great design with round tubular frame. However their 289 used the 4" tube like the 427 and not the 3" as original.

This car was built by John McMahon NJ.

And the attention to detail and the quality of parts used by John were second to none. If you want John's old car you better hurry, as I've dropped the price on both of my Cobra replicas in the hopes that they sell quickly so I can buy it. I missed my chance once, really do not want to miss it again. For those out looking at John's old car, the detail shots can be found by CLICKING HERE

Bill,

Thanks for the props! Lots of blood, sweat and tears in that build. It was tough to finish it because of all the time I was spending at the track with the Mustang.

I know you left your DNA on the car when I wasn't looking!

Here is a nice shot of the rear....the dimples aren't as pronounced on the Contemporary....

I'm almost tempted to buy it back myself!

Ah yes, but just like with your 95 "R" Model you'll never know just where

Default Thanks for the Response

As always, appreciate members response and images.

In regards to the asthetics of the dimples, can only say that varied opinions are just that...varied opinions. I personally do not think the side pipes on the 427SC are asthetically pleasing or practical from one perspective (snake bite thinking here), but still love their sound and practicality (from another perspective) of getting the exhaust a bit further off the ground.

Here Unique has a dimpled trunk lid with a reverse hinge to allow entrance to the trunk because of the Lemans hard top.
