Yes, I'm back, baby.

Anyone's monetary status change over the holidays?
Anyone who's on this list that needs to bail?
Anyone who wants to join few, the proud...

As soon as I'm back in the office next week I'm gonna make contact with Richard and see where we're at.

I hope everyone had a great holiday.

Confirm on list for two sets, presuming details are reasonable.

Default Da list

1. rodneym
2. Rodknock (Sorry, Rodknock. Patrickt says you're definitely a number 2 )
3. N2VENOM (maybe multiple sets)
4. 601HP
5. Sal Gerace
6. Lew Ledyard
7. What'aCobra (2 sets if delivery time is reasonable)

Come on, CSXers. You spent all that time and effort and got the right fuses, VR, puke tank, oil stickers, etc.
Now it's time for the mags

I think I should be #1, since I don't end my sentences with improper prepositions.

We dispensed with "prescriptive grammar" quite some time ago, so you're still #2. But, being the stickler buff that you are, you might enjoy Winston Churchill's take on the issue: http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/churchill.html

Hey, what can I say, I'm a purist, er, an "originalist", unless someone wants to "refudiate" me.

Rodney, let me save you the trouble. The status of the wheels is the same status as before the holidays.....a pipe dream. But, I'm still "in", if the wheels ever get "turned out."

"...where we're at..." is urban usage as a noun "equivalent", something like a pronoun phrase.

The common phrase, MF, we know, doesn't actually describe a precise activity or act. It is a very perjorative and potentially insulting adjective or a noun, depending on usage. In modern Americano, i might never have had relationships with a mother and yet remain a blazing MF.

Where we're at, can be a place, like Philadelphia, or even a description of a status or condition, as in, "that's where we're at" in describing our relationships.

The phrase, "where's you at", for instance, does not only ask your location. It might ask your attitude, decision or condition.

But, given a few sets of Hali's this spring and i might get over my affection for all this usage vs rules stuff.

New Hali's to me mean safety and the correct look. Setting the bead on old mags seems to be just a gamble. That's why the new tire machines set the bead from the drop centers inside a steel cover. Years ago used wheels were 50USD., so we really had perhaps two dozen with various tires. Today, two new sets, dry and wet are enough for historic events and street.

By the way, rain race tires make great street tires, dot or not... Good for perhaps 5000 street miles or so and great in the rain.

601HP,
I did email Richard Monday but haven't heard anything yet. In all fairness he did say he would have his price by mid January so he probably doesn't have any news.

Just tell him to keep the prices the same as the last production run. Fronts $765/each and the rear $795/each. Not a dollar more.

Bad economy and all.

I am really glad that there is interest. Hopefully, high quality/light weight magnesium wheels for our cars will become a reality soon. I have not followed every page of this thread, but did M&A drop out of the picture? It seemed that their wheels were very good quality. M&A lists GT40 wheels on their website. I can't recall whether I ever asked them if they are available. If so, I would buy them in a heartbeat. I think that the look cooler than the 427 S/C wheels.

Lew,

From what I've been told by M&A and Halibrand, in the past, M&A produces the wheels for Halibrand using the Halibrand molds.
