Rodney, I'm still in if we can keep it to the original price point of $4K per set. Let my order be the swing vote when you get really close. Thanks for all the hard work that you do here, too. You would think a small crowd of guys willing to throw down $1K per wheel would get a manufacturer's attention (and in this economy)?!? Sheesh! Maybe we should be working a group deal to buy the molds instead.

I talked to M&A Castings about that very subject. The new wheel molds would be about $10,000 or $1,000 per person if we were to get 10 people. And we would own the molds.
Another $30,000-$35,000 +/- ($500-$600 per wheel) and we would have the minimum run of 15 brand new sets of magnesium Cobra wheels.
More sets of wheels and the per unit cost goes down.
Now, if Darren could stop building his flip top and become a wheel magnate.

Is that just CAST or CAST and MACHINED???? A rather large difference.

All done and ready for the consumer. Of course, these were approximations over the phone with M&A. Please don't hold me liable, if my facts and figures are wrong.
Looking over my notes, I believe M&A said $10,000-$12,000 for the two molds, not $10,000.
I'm no expert.

At the end of the day, none of us are. But at least directionally we are thinking alike. For 3x my "investment" I could literally own the keys to the factory.
