Every time i even touched the gas, the tires would spin. It was like driving on a skating rink. The hard rubber would make a horrible squealing sound and my brother would yell "that's a hundred bucks!" He kept yelling that until we were both laughing so hard i couldn't drive anymore. We went home and took the tires off. My father was the ONLY man to ever sell a new 427 Cobra in Canada. A few years back he told me he was driving it one day in 1966 in downtown Calgary and ground looped the car several times in a very busy intersection and only with dumb luck did he not hit anything. He stalled the car and sat there shaking so bad he couldn't drive anymore. He was right in front of the GM dealer (wouldn't you know it) and he knew the sales manager. The guy came running out and helped dad get off the street. Dad eventually drove the car back to Metro Ford and never touched it again. The eventual buyer of that car wrecked it less than 6 months after buying it. Earl
