Speaking for myself, yes it's important. I bought the car to drive, not show. And the corner weights are being set for when I'm by myself in the car, since I don't push it that hard when a passenger is with me. And when I'm by myself, I do like to push it a little hard in some corners.

My tool bag is in the car in it's normal position. Fuel? All you can do there is set up the car with approximately a 1/2 tank. That way you are as close as you can be. In my case I'm closer to 3/4 tank as I never let it get below 1/4 tank. Also fuel in a static setting during the set up of the car balances out between the left and right sides. It will for the most part equal out. During cornering it will always slosh to the outside of the turn. It's a little better if you have a fuel cell as it does not move as quickly.

I guess this is why I do not cut corners on tires either. For me, since I like the look of 15 inch wheels on a Cobra, I go with either the Goodyear BB's or Avons. More expensive, but worth it to me.
