The wrenches are intended to be used on the "B" nut, that is the female nut that forms the connection on the male nipple. They are puposely short to prevent overtorquing the nut.

I have 4 or 5 AN wrenches that fit any and all sizes regardless of brand, they are called cresent wrenches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a toolbox in one pocket....now if i could figure out how to use one on phillips head screws....
