These guys are right. Just got mine done. On one side of valve cover you need a PCV valve to a vacuum port on the carb, whichever port your carb is set up for to run the PCV (or you can use any vacuum port if you want). The opposite valve cover needs a closed vent air breather with a rubber hose to the carb air intake. It must be "filtered" air according to my referee. I drilled the base of my air cleaner and attached a $10 fitting and it was done. I left mine on, looks good and used a chrome air breather. Once I did that there were no issues. Will try to post a picture.

The braided hose goes to a fitting I mounted under the air cleaner base, a brass fitting with 5/8" hose connection, $5 at home depot. the chrome air breather was $20 at O-Reiley. On the opposite valve cover is the standard PCV valve with a hose to the front of my carb vacuum port. For mine that is the PCV port. Yours may be different but you have one or need a carb spacer with a port. You will NOT get through without this set up. If you are lost take to a local mechanic that works on rods and they will know exactly what you need.
