I already sent out a few reproductions of Eddies reproduction seat track knobs :-) I implant a 1/4 20 nut during the casting process. The photo is what it looks like straight from the mold. Hi Metal-morphous. Like the reproduction knobs. But I don't have seat rail levers. I do have the Levelor medallions though.

I have the same fuel cap except my release button is ribbed. I need to get around to removing the button, grinding off the ribs and getting the button rechromed. Gheers Greg |

That's great - looking good. How did you finish off the back side of the front wheel flares to reduce them? I know you cut some of the lower part back - did you then fiberglass the area back in with less flare to close back up the radius of the opening?

Dan we first cut the front flare rear section using a template off my ERA 148 then glassed in a return flange again like on the earlier ERA's

Looks like the correct/original Trico washer bottle for the 427 Cobras. Now you need a Trico decal and firewall mounting bracket from mickmate (Acton Custom).

Eddie is coming up to see me shortly. He'll have his dial calipers out to measure the belly curve on an original.

Yeah, that Trico washer bottle looks familiar. Got to put a new decal on it one of these days. But patina is good.

Now that the quarters have had time to out gas and the chassis is back at Eddies ,its time to re-enforce the back side with 4 more layers of fiberglass
ERA inpregnates a core mat material to strengthen the inner fenders and help prevent damage due to rocks being picked up by the tires, nice feature ! I like to use the same fiberglass material as used by the manufacturers, by doing so the repairs or modification are indistinguishable from the original body. While we are getting the body ready for paint Eddie is getting the chassis ready for a glass smooth paint job including sanding and filling,no powder coating here!!

Impressive, will be one hell of a car when it is completed. Did you have to wait for good weather to be able to move outside, or did it time out right?

Delays have been an issue but the weather was not. Like stated early in this thread the project revolved around the sunburst wheels and that took some time to get worked out but well worth the delay. We got the body mods worked out while the weather was cold and the delayed spring worked out in my favor. Things will start to pick up speed now not only due to the weather warming up but also having the mods finished.

This is a polyester product that takes time to cure.
