Exactly!

Virtually every model 911 has had one thing or another potentially go wrong. Yet, they're very popular and the air-cooled models (thru 1998) are nearly all appreciating.

I saw a CSX car at a dealership for a show in the ealry 1980's and thought the Cobra was the most aggressive looking vehicle along with the stance and lines was just the only one I ever wanted. Finally came to a point in life where I could afford one and so I bought it.
Lifelong dream come true. This summer will be the first summer with it. I cannot wait.

Seeing that my Cobra cost me less than $4000 when I built it 20 odd years back I don't think that there is anything that can beat it for the same price.

Unfortunately in the height of the depression a lot of dollar chasers sold a lot of beautiful aircooled carsvto European buyers.........I had a slight bout of depression every time I saw one leave........
But back to the Cobra ........25 years with my car and I still get an adrenalin rush every time I get into it......

Appears the past difficulties have not had a negative impact on Porsche sales:

" Atlanta-based Porsche Cars North America Inc. – the exclusive U.S. importer of Porsche vehicles - has set an all-time U.S. sales record with 42,323 cars sold in 2013 – up 21 percent over 2012.

The company says the previous record year for Porsche in the U.S. was 2012, when 35,043 cars were sold. In December 2013, Porsche dealers sold 3,246 cars, an increase of 10 percent over December 2012."

This is what i just bought to put beside my Cobra. It should keep up. Ive had 3 Vipers now but I,ll probably sell the Viper before the Cobra. The Viper is about as close as you can get in a modern car to the Cobra. I had a 911 and sold it last fall. It did nothing for me. Just wasnt my thing.

This is my fun toy. Goes like crazy up to about 100 mph. After that its just not that fun. Lol. The wind and noise is deafening. Ear plugs are a must for any type of highway cruise but damn its a fun car.

Love my 07 Z06, it is a beast and a great car to drive.

The Cobra on the other hand is a whole different ball game. It is driving on a different, and a wonderful experience.

To sum it all up: The Vette gets em wet, but the Fangs make em bang!!!!

We have owned a lot of beautiful muscle cars over the years, just sold one of our favorites 69 SS Chevelle 454 4 speed. We have owned several Vettes big and small block powered. This Cobra though has them all beat besides it's incredible looks, handling, power and sound I built this car it has everything I have ever dreamed of in a pure muscle car.
So very thankful for kit cars.

True, true. Without a replica I would never own one. It has been many years since I had a Cobra so I can't wait until Spring!!!
