Ingo showed me his factory in Ft. Lauderdale and all the panel work being done. A very nice guy who answered all my questions and can provide any spyder part you need even if it has to be made from scratch ... So I expect Ingo is just like anyone here, show him some respect and he will treat you with respect. Pretty simple, it's called human nature. I do think real customers have an advantage over some of the keyboard **** slingers here, they actually got up off their ass for a factory visit which shows incentive. I would like to meet Ingo some day, if for no other reason than to show me how to kick an ass into space so they can google earth. . |

Hey, Thank you and I like that a lot. And finally you gave me the right word I was searching the whole time "Keyboard slingers". A fantastic description. But as I told you. The future will tell the truths and I will provide next week already some videos how we are manufacturing our Spyders (we are not building) and a sneak peak of our Roadster production (Doesnt exist too..or?) After this I wish that those "slingers" will be treated as nosy girly people they are. But normally they are not in shame and looking to attack other members. Anyway, I am out for now so those Keyboard "slingers" have the live time opportunity to post more brainless crap. For you and other "good sensed" Cobra members I will have some surprises you will really love if you are real cobra loving guys like me. And I will need exactly your help to get critics or ideas for my new project to get it as perfect as possible. The mean old Ingo;) |
Now we have a new player, Ladies and Gents here I introduce Carlos....

I don't know about you, but I like to spend some time on the internet doing my research on a company before spending large amounts of money. You're future customers may very well be turned off by what they read. But as you stated earlier, you don't care about sales, you do it for fun, and that's fine. I'm just a little confused as to why you haven't left your computer today. Are you under the impression that this will turn into a positive experience? I think the comments from this forum are motivated by what we Americans call shock and disbelief. Standing your ground is one thing, but to attack each and everyone here is something entirely different. I hope this somehow plays out in your favor, but it's a deep hole. |
So...Rico Suave next? Or maybe Tony Montana?
Sorry AlloyCars, no intentional disrespect but just too easy on a Sunday afternoon.;) |

RE the question about forming the panels.
I have done a bit of forming in my days and there aren't too many ways to make that large a panel. For panels that large, you are looking at either stretch forming, drop hammer, or hydroforming. Considering the size of their facility, my money is on stretch forming. It's a shame they are making the prototype with the perky butt. |
Just one completed car somewhere, please! Believe it or not, some folks would like to try to help you help yourself here.

I did some searching about and there is a lot of positive being said about Ingo Poth and the Porsche replicas. Somehow I don't think that will make any difference to some of you - you've decided it's war and now validation of your position is all that matters. The thread with Carlos is where the use of the FFR chassis was discussed as an idea. It looks like that has now turned into a project and I for one am interested in seeing how it turns out.

Maybe so, but to me it looks like the issue involves the shape of the fenders as well (that old Contemporary DNA again) - but regardless - reshaping that one obviously wasn't a big priority. They want a more correct body now and they're building it from scratch.

....and about 30 posts later they kinda admitted they have used a FF5 body. Pretty much there the Sh!t hit the fan. |

Actually, I did, it appears he was commissioned by Ben and Rob Edwards , for a body and chassis only (which he may or may not have license to continue to produce from the Edwards, that is unknown at this time)
He then makes some minor detail parts (shift box, pedals, and now a jack ) for a Anand's Spyder (Beck replica) Another interesting article where it is alluded to that Ben and Rob (owner ofSpyder Creations in CT.) Edwards bought their car turn key from alloycars, even though this FOX NEWS story tells the true tale. I will however give ABNnewswire and maybe even Fury Advertising kudos for flooding the web with the same PR story to different state and local outlets in an attempt to make Alloycars appear bigger than real life.
