Anyonhe know who did restoration?

That was the car that was at F-40, but was sold unrestored (I think to a guy in California).
Wayne took the car to a local hospital and took a kid with cancer for a ride, car looked good before the resto, I'm sure it looks great now

Just follow the link to the listing. Price + 10% buyer's premium = 1.595M. Wow, that's higher than 3000 series cars have been going for lately.

And what's even more special is the fact that it was bought by a well-known dealer in Shelby automobiles, most probably for resale.

If the original green had looked as good as the green on this car they would have sold a lot more in that color, original green was UGLY!
I noticed that they called it a 1965, now they are even getting the street cars screwed up as far as how they were titled. I would bet that that car was delivered with 7.5" Halibrands also and not Sunburst wheels but what the heck they got 1.5 million for it.

Nic,
I found some correct 3/16-24 BSW countersunk slotted stainless screws in Australia for the windshield mount. I will have to shorten them so they do not contact the glass but that will be easy. Some restorers are using 10-24 and re-tapping but I think this is a better way to go.

Good was that from Don at Snakebite? He's a good lad. I thought the English screens used a fine thread, 10-32?

Mine would take a 10-24 if you wanted to force it just not quite right so I thing the 3/16-24 will work, hope so. Different outfit I think, Gilcrest Services

Good to see a rust free aluminum body huh ;-) No bids on 3281 I see, it'll probably sell "off the block" like most of them.

Be sure to read the registry note on 3231, as there are 2 cars out there claiming that VIN. So don't pay more than half-price for either one.

Peter,
I do not pretend to know why your interested in the car we all love. Artistic value, its rare, or your just another car guy. However I thought I would pass along a thought of mine. I always said if I could afford an original I would buy it, but I wouldn't drive it on a road, because I couldn't stand the thought of it ever getting destroyed.
To my point, I would also purchase a new Kirkham to drive for fun.

In the many interactions I've had with people, especially those who ask "is it real?" or "is it an original?", my response is pretty much the same as yours - buy a replica if you want a car to drive for fun.
OTOH, my thought process might be different if my investment portfolio was significantly larger.
