How long would Chuck Norris have lasted against Bruce Lee?

You may have hit a winner. I know Chuck worked in some Bruce Lee movies. I always considered Chuck to be the real deal. Not an actor with a little martial arts training and choreographing. He trained hard, competed hard and competed long and took his licks in the process. He had some style in some of his moves, but he was all business in the ring. :)

Buzz 11-20-2015 08:58 AM

Lee was very much the real deal as well. He rocked and pissed off the traditional martial arts establishment by dispensing with all of the convention, mysticism and other hooey and focusing on real world fighting techniques that worked. His form was not limited to any one style or discipline and he embraced the best of everything from boxing and grappling to judo and wing chun. He had many unscripted scraps with challengers on movie sets and on the street, but they usually didn't much resemble his movie fight scenes. He often used arm and leg trapping and pre-blocking techniques and generally pummelled the traditional karate/kung-fu guys without much difficulty.
Norris is a tough, formidable dude and an accomplished competitive fighter, but his style was limited and he likely would have endured a whupping against the faster, deadlier, more advanced and versatile Lee. Sort of like a Cobra on a road course against a C7 Z06 (just to keep the discussion relevant, of course :D)

In a tournament, Chuck Norris would destroy Bruce Lee. Norris was 40lbs heavier, like a Middleweight Boxer fighting a featherweight.

But in a street fight, bet the house on Bruce. Bruce was infamous for dirty fighting.

You know as much about this as you do about Cobras my friend, but your tenacity is beginning to grow on me (my wife says scrubbing with a mild peroxide solution can take care of that though ). Norris was only actually a champion in "point Karate" in which full force contact was penalised. He never competed in full contact fighting in which your conditioning and ability to absorb punishment is just as important as being able to dish it out.

CSX3170 neutralises the Cobra vs. Z06 comparison, but that's no ordinary Cobra ;)

Buzz 11-20-2015 09:36 AM

And besides - even though the small-block, leaf-sprung Cobra actually won the races, it's the more awesome and fearsome looking 427 that is responsible for the Cobra's enduring appeal.

I never said I know Cobras but I do know a hot rod when i see one.

back to Norris v Lee. This 'fight' has been talked about more than the "Chevy v Ford" wars.
Chuck Norris is the bigger, stronger, more Knock Out power. don't believe what you saw in "The Way of the Dragon."
Next lie is Kareem Abdul Jabbar couldn't beat Bruce Lee in a tournament fight. length :)
again, in a street fight, no rules, hands down bet on Bruce.

Nuff said!

Ya, sure. And your credentials are?

Holly Holm would literally kick both of their butts.

Chuck Norris does not do pushups, he pushes the Earth up and down! Reminds me one night I took my Chevy powered HotRod that is shaped like a Cobra, out for a spin. I pulled into this bank parking lot ,just to turn around. The Earth moving noise and power shook the bank so much it set off the alarms. Police were there in a flash which led to a lot of fast talking.

How do you think that would've gone down if you had an FE under the hood?

Say like when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear off? That, we at least have evidence of.

You have to love the Internets. You can post whatever BS you like and hope others believe your BS.

And this interview proves what exactly? They worked out together, never spared, and then Bruce Lee hired him to be in his film.

You have two unsupported unsubstantiated mindless thoughts. One, Chuck Norris would win a fight with Bruce Lee and two, Bruce Lee was a dirty fighter.

Not a shred of evidence that Bruce Lee bit anyone or pulled someone's hair or kicked someone in the testicles. And in the Chuck Norris interview, he doesn't even give his opinion of who's the better fighter. It's a discussion of how Chuck Norris was hired by Bruce Lee.

I don't give an S, which person would win a fight, or if Bruce Lee was a dirty fighter, but I'll tell ya what, you really just post complete nonsense. I'd rather you just continue to say the expression "hot rod shaped like Cobra" over and over again, at least then you could be closer to the truth. **)

Maybe we should start a new forum here called "Cobra Cage Match"!:LOL:

Members can propose the opponents and the subject matter and, if they accept just let them have at it!

Could even run a poll on who everyone thinks is the winner after a designated time limit.

I can think of a few candidates already!;)
