We need some excitement

This place has become boring with no real versus replica arguments.

TheExtreme 11-17-2015 12:31 PM

How about "my replica is better than your replica"?

Don't even start. You or someone will touch the "third rail" and that will be JAMO. Most are sick and tired of this right now. At least I am.

I'm not going to start it. Just saying there aren't any interesting or exciting threads right now. Even the Ned thread has died.

RodKnock 11-17-2015 01:26 PM

I guess folks like boring. And that's OK.

Maybe Thor can start a thread about a Cobra with a Chevy BB engine is worth more than a Cobra with an FE or something along those lines.

Or maybe Patrick will post a pic of his little fluffy dog in a Kris Kringle suit in one of his inane DIY posts.

Speaking of DIY, my P-car wasn't starting last week and they're infamous for poor DME relays, which will cause a "no start, but crank all day" condition. Well, $65, a week's wait for the part, and 1-2 mins of labor, and the car starts. How about that, I'm like THE BEST MECHANIC IN THE WORLD! **)

Did someone call??? I never said a Cobra replica or a HotRod that is shaped like a Cobra was worth more than a Cobra replica with a Ford FE in it. I said that a Chevy in a Cobra replica does not destroy the resale value , and that there is a market of people who prefer a Chevy. And that the extra $10k or $15k you will pay for a 427 SO FE in two cars that are other wise the same $10k to $15 more is about all you could sell the car for , so just the extra cost of the motor. Let the Pigeons Loose!!!

The only things Ellie and I have planned for the Cobra, until next summer when a coolant flush is due, are an oil change and a brake fluid flush. Ellie doesn't like getting any of that stuff in her fur, so I doubt there will be any opportunities for pics.:(

car4jim 11-17-2015 05:22 PM

How about a magnesium wheel tread!!

Bernica 11-17-2015 05:34 PM

Or, maybe a titanium bodied Cobra thread!
OR...maybe just a few threads about Cobra guys fixing Cobras and needing help with their Cobra. Just a wild idea!;)

patrickt 11-17-2015 05:37 PM

... I might put a teeny weeny garage door opener under the Cobra dash so I don't have to lean over and open the glove box and fish around for the bigger one.

car4jim 11-17-2015 05:41 PM

Anyone done a jet turbine powered Cobra...hmmm?

patrickt 11-17-2015 05:45 PM

... or I might change out the air for nitrogen in the tires. But I'd have to figure out how to get the air out first before I put the nitrogen back in.%/

Bernica 11-17-2015 05:51 PM

What? No Billboards vs Avons??;)
There are dead horses everywhere here....

car4jim 11-17-2015 06:20 PM

Back to the weight of Kirkham thread...

NewYorkGuy 11-17-2015 06:49 PM

Shelby CSX2032 still for sale on ebay

no winning bids for well over 6 months.

Shelby CSX2032 Factory Competition Optioned Cobra | eBay

also CSX 2337 is still for sale at Canepa Motors

perhaps the collectors cars market is dried up or cobra guys have passed on?

I'm attending the RM auction at Sotheby's NYC next month. they're selling a bunch of Ferraris and Porsches 911s. Curious if the 911 air cools break $300K.

That's old news. They already have. Some time ago. I own one of the non-$300K air cooled 911's.

The year is 2015. Just making sure you're not suffering from amnesia. Or maybe dementia.

I would say I'm considering dropping an SB2 NASCA engine between the frame rails of my replica but honestly do not want to read the come back's.
The opinionating and bickering has been old for some time now. When I first discovered Club Cobra was amazed how many like minded enthusiasts hung out here best of all how open everyone was to all kits. Where did they all go?
