I have not read the whole thread so excuse me if I am off base. Be careful when you are dialing up the hp. It can be fun to have but there is drivability to consider. How will it run at 1500 rpm when you are trying to go 25 mph. Things like that come up a lot for me driving around. Huge cams do not like that. You end up doing 2500-3000 rpm to keep it from bucking. It's not a sprint car. If you feel the need for 6-700 hp you might consider building it for nitrous.

To the OP have you driven a cobra?

Yes Bill, I have a Cobra.

Please read more of my thread, of what I want, need and can handle.

600 HP & TQ on the street is fine, depending on the cam specs and compression. Etc...
I'm not building a drag only car. .

You are not using 600 hp around a turn. When you felt the need to melt the tires you could hit the button.

Same here. About the same, maybe a little less, after new carb and some other tweaking. Wouldn't go more. According to Brent who has seen my build sheet it has plenty of room for more with cam change. But it's plenty IMHO!

Forgetting the engine, for a moment, if it ever is built... what brand of Cobra will it be going in to?
