Remember that you have a Ford crankshaft. Some of the alignment tools for 26 spline driven disks won't fit as nicely as you would like.

A clutch alignment tool that fits a 26 spline driven disk, but that also fits in to the back of a Ford crankshaft. I think my local club loans out one made by Mike Forte. Surely they are more available now than over a decade ago, which was the last time I even thought about it. For all I know, you can get them at Autozone, but at least now you are aware of the issue and you're probably thinking "dang, why didn't I think of that?"

And you probably need the special spacer that goes between your TKO and the block. If you need it, and you don't use it, you'll do a real number on your engine because the nose of the transmission shaft will bottom out on the crank and try and shove it out the front of your car.

By special spacer between the TKO and block, do you mean the bellhousing?

Alright, but it is between the the transmission and the block, just not right up against the block.

Here's a kind-of-recent thread (just 16 years old) where Mike offers them for sale. He's probably still got them. https://www.ffcars.com/forums/38-200...ko-tremec.html
