I have another question please. I’m intending to have the engine set up on a rolling road. Should I take a selection of different jets, metering rods and springs with me in case they need changing? Or can adjustments be made on the carb itself? I realise it’s probably a dumb question because I won’t know until it’s on the dyno but just trying to avoid a repeat visit. It’s a Ford 302 btw.

I'm suspecting your dyno run will show a carb too big for the motor. Can it be jetted down to fit the motor, that is a question for your dyno guy, not us.

Thanks Bill. Is that the general consensus that a 650cfm is too big for the 302? If so, taking some smaller jets might be sensible.
