I agree, COX6127 was the last Cobra, sent here to the states by AC LTD, minus engine and transmission, and Cobra badges, just like CSX2000, thus completing the circle of life! As for original tooling, that gets a little more dicey. Cooper King Cobras never set foot in AC, but they are Cobra's. On the other hand, Brian Angliss cars were built on original tooling, but I don't consider those original Cobra's! AC Frua cars had serial number prefixes of, CF, Cobra Furua! I have never seen one with a Cobra emblem on the nose. But I have said it here before, modern CSX cars will never be the real deal, even if they do hold there value well!

Sheesh, what, I'm back for like 3-4 days? Folks, let's NOT go down the rabbit hole.

Here's the old rabbit hole, from 7 (2015) years ago, which in the OP states that the subject had been around a decade before that thread.

BTW, here's the 3rd post in that 2015 thread posted by me:

The alternative is Patrick posts another "How To...But Who Really Gives an S" thread?
And Patrick actually did it/this again in this thread.

Hey, did you miss the thread where Ellie helps me put a tow hook on my car?

Did you photoshop the orange cone on your dog's head or is she actually wearing the cone?

You installed a RED tow hook on the front of your ERA? Oy.

Coming back from the bar, how often do you drive into a ditch where you need a tow truck to yank you out?

BTW, I'd think about repainting the ERA all red, but with a beige tow hook, I think the car would look much better. :D

patrickt 06-22-2022 12:09 PM

Wait... you also missed the "oil diaper" thread where Ellie helped me use oil-only absorbent material to finally stop that pesky drip. You gotta hand it to her, she's a genius dog. Here's that thread, a little down from the top. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/fe-t...blueprint.html

I'd like to see the end of the tool in a few more shots. I have the same alum tool for my knock offs.

I had my machinist cut it and grind it to fit an impact socket, and was using it with my impact gun. But adding a torque multiplier to the end of it made it portable.

Wow, this must be a record. I think there are at least three separate hijackings in this thread. And at least as many attempts :) [This one included :) )

Seems one of his future upgrades must be a matching beige tow hook... he just needs to get the paint mixed and dip it!

And I love the orange doggie party hat!!

Ellie's, the one that kept Patrick from painting the hook beige "Good Girl Ellie, Good Girl"

No she insisted that it be red. Which is kind of strange with dogs being color blind and all, but she knows best. She did fab it so it was easily removable and a little plastic plug goes in the hole. Somehow I think she knew that RodKnock would want one, but he would want to keep it in the glove box and only put it on when he needed it. Here's a pic of the quick jack with the plastic plug in the hole and Ellie heading off after a job well done.

Maybe, but it's tough to judge, since I have to shield my eyes from that "eye-popping" beige paint. :p

Ted,

The old picture with the red webers looks cool.

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...urance_021.JPG

But the current picture has a more traditional carb with turkey pan.

https://www.cobracountry.com/wp-cont...1123x755-1.jpg

Is there a reason why you switched?

MOTORHEAD 06-24-2022 06:00 AM

1nt: Yeah, I loved the look off the Webers, but spent WAY too many days trying to get them tuned to my satisfaction. Decided to try again when I decided to sell, engine looked even better with the black/aluminum v/c's and the webers, but they caused way too much backfiring on deceleration, which I coud'nt tune out, Finally had to give up on them.

Ted
