Knock...knock...knock

(the sound of a door opening)

Roscoe sticks his head in and says:

"Ok guys...two black coffees, sugar on the side. Maple bar? What the fk is a Maple Bar? what are you...from California?
Listen...it's getting close to lunchtime. You want I run for a pizza or something? You guys going to be long? Anyone need to use the bathroom? I'll be right outside the door if you need me. Just knock and I'll unlock it."

Bye

(the sound of a door closing)

Roscoe

Default Awwwww Roscoe.....

You slay me....

Actually, from Washington (state that is). Alright, since we're talking lunch - I'll take a BBQ double bacon cheese burger, fries and a chocolate shake.

And thanks for bringing some 'levity' to the thread....

Turk - ditto!

Aumoore,
No, once again you have it completely wrong. NOBODY acted like Hal threw a handfull of rocks at a supercar, YOU goofballs are acting like we ACCUSED Hal of doing the same. Go back and read Bill S. chastisment of Hal, I believe he said something to the effect, "Geez Hal, if you shot rocks dirt and dead dino's at another car parked at a red light, then bragged about it, shame on you." That is HARDLY somebody rolling out the fucin gallows, now is it?

You walter mitty types are the ones with your panties in a wad.

My gazillion dollar paint job cost me EXACTLY $370.00 at a MAACO clone shop.

I still haven't read anyones post *****ing about excessive speed involved here, but once again the same tired rhetoric comes out in defense of squirreizm. Where exactly is this post about speed in this thread? Help me out here, or send me some of whatever the f*ck you're smoking, I could use some relaxation. Words have meaning, read them.

Carry on.

Greg A. Warwick

P.S. any body who claims NOT to goose these FPSB's once in a while is an inveterite liar.

P.S.S., Once again, if Billy's mild rebuke was enuff to send "The Great Stroker" scurrying for safety, there wan't much there to begin with.

P.S.S.S, Aumoore, you should be beaten with a stick for even bringing up scumbags name on this site.

Mr. Dirt Coyboy
you said "P.S.S.S, Aumoore, you should be beaten with a stick for even bringing up scumbags name on this site."

Let me get this straight. You think is is a crime to blip a throttle and possibaly throw a few pieces of dirt on a automobile but caining humans for saying someone's name is ok??

This is America where I am free to say what I please but do not have to be physically threatened for saying it.

I think you should keep you threatening words to youself. I never threatened any body with physical harm like you just did me and I do take offence to it.

I think I will stay away from this thread as I am close to joining Hal. I do not like censorship but I do not need this crap.

Default Hey...Roscoe...

...next trip....I need another Michelob....while you're out, get a six pack, will ya? If you're flyin', I'm buyin.... Besides, this is just startin' to get good.

Now for the rest of you PeeCee, never-drive-it-because-you-might-get-a-paint-chip-on-it, just-stand-around-and-look-at-it, don't-go-over-the-limit, never-seen-a-track-and-never-will dorks....GET FnCKED! I happen to know Hal personally and have stayed with him on my way to a track event. I know him to be a good writer, and excellent driver, and not someone who would conciously throw rocks, twigs, sand, or any other fnckin' stuff on anyone's car....on the owner, maybe, but never on their car. Fact is, Hal probably thinks more of most folks' CARS than he does of them being politically fnckin' correct! Hell, he probably thinks more of someone else's car than he does of HIS!

Get a freakin' life....Hal's added more to this forum in the past that you probably ever will... If YOU don't have a rock peck, or two, on your pride-n-joy, then you're not DRIVIN' IT....! I show mine...and wax it....and race it when I've a mind to. But, I know I can't beat yours....you got to drive it to be beaten....and someone's ALWAYS got a faster car than you.

As for the Porsche owner...I'm not thinkin' he/she even paid Hal's blast from the "Great Stroker" any attention at all. Hell, they should be used to it...after all, they were drivin' it, weren't they?

Oh...Roscoe....being me 'nother one, will ya? I gotta go light up my tires, make a lot of noise, and possibly throw some debris on some mother's new baby!

REMEMBER... No one ever said you have a right to NOT be offended!

400 HP in a 2300 lb car is not responsible,if I wanted responsible I would drive a Volvo and if I felt I needed moral advice from my fellow unresponsible enthusiast I would ask for it. I will miss the great stroker stories, unfortunatly I will probably continue to read the self righteous dribble by a few unimaginitive blow hards (democrats no doubt) chuck

President, peacemaker, peanut farmer and outside cotractor

Former US president Jimmy Carter, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, has been an indefatigable campaigner for world peace since he was swept out of office in a crushing defeat at the hands of Ronald Reagan nearly 20 years ago,

After setting up the Carter Center, one of his early successes was acting as mediator between Somalia and Ethiopia and inviting the warring factions in southern Sudan to his native Georgia for peace talks.

Having survived an attack by a rabid rabbit, he now faces a real challenge: offering to mediate between warring factions on Club Cobra. Can he get Hal to return? Can he squeeze an apology from Bill? Will he build a new house?

I'll be right outside the door if you need me. Just knock and I'll unlock it."

Bye

(the sound of a door closing)

Roscoe (chuckling)

It's not a matter of being thick or thin skinned. Hal has plenty going on in his life. Contributing to the Porsche group and the SPF forum and this forum. I guess, like MANY of us, you got to budget your time.

If I'm not having fun, getting something out of being here, being helpful to my fellow man, why should I stay? I suppose at some point in time something like what happened to Hal might happen to me. Perhaps that will be the time to re-think my priorities, maybe move on to something else or some other forum.

I think there are a lot of people on here like that, on the edge, and thats OK, that is in fact "life". But I don't want to be the one responsible for pushing someone OVER the edge.

Others WILL continue to benefit from Hals "great stroker" stories, but they won't be posted here. Your fault, my fault, nobodys fault, fact is WE have lost a wonderful contributer to this forum. He's NOT the first one and won't be the last. WE have lost some great ones, usually due to the actions of a few (different people at different times). THAT is the saddest part about this whole mess! A "debate" is WAY different than a "censure".

I DO enjoy a good debate!! I can even over look the name calling that occurs to often while we search for "truth". I also love a good story, and thats all Hal was doing, offering us a good story. There was no need then and there is no need now to "bash" him for that. He was just TRYING to bring a little joy into our world, and give back something to the community he loved. WE need to be more careful with our comments, or WE will loose more.

Ernie

Perhaps this is not the time to relate the story of when I actually drove over the top of a Viper with my Cobra and left tire tracks all the way from the rear deck to the tip of the hood ... Ok, I might be embellishing a little ...

You know, I'll take the heat when it is justified. however, in this case, why was I to assume that Hal was typing anything but what really happened??? Let's face it, if in fact it happened just the way he said it did, then he was in the wrong. In this one particular case, he embellished just a bit, and did in fact not spray another car with anything.............You people can take sides all you like, the facts still remain the same, as do my comments based on those facts and assumptions at the time of each post...If it causes one person to leave, that is their own choosing, but to blame it on one member or another is ludicrous.

Sincerely,

Bill S.

Roscoe,

Do you have anyone from CBS out in the hall? This may be the perfect group for the next Survivor show.

The FACTS are: (if one were to actually READ Hal's story,) 1. Hal sent him a thundering blip as he DOWNSHIFTED from second to first. Downshifting DOES NOT cause "all sorts of sand and grit" to go flying thru the air. The increase of revs from the downshift causes "partially burnt dinosaur" to waft out from the exhaust... 2. The ONLY thing that went onto the Porsche was the sound (and fumes) of the Great Stroker Downshifting next to the hapless German coupe. There is SOME sand, grit, and road debris on the roads.....the sheer act of passing parked cars flings the stuff up AS NORMAL...I'll bet the Porsche owner, if he chooses to tell the same tale that Hal told, would NEVER mention any "sand and grit" all over his shiny new car! That's just the way it is! There. I have settled this whole argument/discussion/whining session. Roscoe, the drinks are on me!
