Bob,
Don't know Wayne. Ours is a LA EXCOTIC 289 federal safety yellow with balck strips.

I like Steve Parks Club Cobra screen name for a license plate;

4RE KLR - Ferrari Killer

Word is, Neal Jackson is getting a plate for his Cheetah that says: "CBRAKILR".

Mine is THNXAMY. You see, my wife let me buy the car and doesn't mind if I stay up late and work on it.

But then again, she has horse that cost twice the amount of the Cobra, and her monthly shoeing bill it three times my gasoline bill.

Hey, who got the better deal here?

Seriously, I love all three (wife, Cobra, and horse) and wouldn't change a thing.

Later for now, see you at Knott's on Saturday,

JS

"MARIAAH" is my license plate, a variation on the correct spelling "Mariah" for a hot wind out of the west!

This formally releases my earlier GRSDLTN (for "greased lightin').

All the best,
Randy Klein

I,ve had A*COBRA on my slab-side since 1984. Ontario just this week offered 7&8 digit plates. You had to order by phone. I started at 8AM and I,m sure I made at least 60 tries and 9 1/2 hours later I got TOPLESS2 for the FIA car after my previous 4 choices were already gone.

Well, now you've got me thinking...

Here are a few that I've been kicking around:

8NT IT GR8
I H8 WAKN
WRKN L8
FE 4 ME
3RD CHILD
THERAPY
NO BOAT
PUNDIT2 (Dan would be PUNDIT1)

Still time... looking for ideas...

Dave

On the wife's car is 289 FIA for the new car that never happened. The 427 has OLDTEK, done back when everything was hi-tech. But if the 427 sells.....

Ron Daveley 04-18-2000 07:57 AM

Since my wife also likes to drive the cobra, it is:
RCOBRA

There is a rumor floating around that Bob Evans is going to re-apply for new plates in light of the present discussion re: big blocks. It reads: "EATS427S"

echo427 04-19-2000 03:30 PM

Still trying to think of a good one for the Echo, but we've got a Corvette with PWR 2ER, in anticipation of this years power tour. My 75 Caprice convertibe has WIDE OPEN.
Trying to get BLU BYU

Had a lot of ideas but went with ASPBITE
because it has bit more than me in the asp

MadRackle 04-19-2000 05:31 PM

Many years ago in Alabama a Porche 911 Turbo blew past me with a license plate that said "WOOOSH"

Randall Thomas 04-19-2000 06:08 PM

Here are a few plate possibilites listed on-line...

Nitemare 04-21-2000 07:50 AM

how about "MSTRSS'

Mary Borden 04-21-2000 06:03 PM

We thought about putting MISTRES on our FFR because I nicknamed my husbands car that. Then we thought wait that would look bad when I am driving the car alone (which I do often). Might get some really dirty looks from people thinking that I am the Mistress and that is how I got the car http://clubcobra.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Now that the Vortech S Trim is on she is called "The Whining Mistress".

Some plates we have thought of:

8AVIPR Cause our Cobra has done it!

California also allows special symbols like a hand, heart, and star. I want to order this one: "hand"BLTDRM for Hand Built Dream.

One of our club members just finished his car and the plate says E ticket ride, not sure how he spelled it. Another one is FELN16 and SHWEET.

Not to be niave but what does "asp" stand for?

Mary
