At the DVSF a couple years ago, a few guys had them blown off in a very hard rainstorm coming down the highway...

I'm sure that I am being paraniod, but I don't usually leave mine on for more than a week or two - have always been concerned that sunlight would fade the paint except where the decals are, leaving dark spots when removed - would probably take years, but...
