Ahh, I was wondering how long it would take before I'd sense the evil approaching...didn't take long at all! You're not opinionated about the "ROADSTER" at all, are ya Jer?

To be fair, though, you're right...what it boils down to here is that I'm considering the acquisition of a toy, nothing more. As such, all of these practical considerations I'm having are a combination of two things. One, I like the coupes pretty much every bit as much as I like the roadsters, and two, it's just my retentive personality trying to make something that's supposed to be completely recreational, have some degree of practicality (which suggests I need serious amounts of psychoanalytic therapy).

Oh, and to everyone else, Norain here is Jerry, and he's right...he's known me pretty much before I was born as he's been in cahoots with my father well before I was a bad idea in the back of his brain.

As for my decision, well that's going to take a while before I can settle on one or the other. There are other considerations, like the fact that the coupe came with a small block, and the engine that I built would be more appropriate to that than the roadster (well, unless I got an FIA, but I don't like the look quite as much). Another possibility, is to sell that engine, and find a good FE block so I could use the heads, crank, intake, and whatnot that I have for a 428CJ. That, however, remains to be seen.

Jer, I'm assuming that you're just waiting for the engine to be finished off before you get your beastie, right? Regardless, from what I hear from people on here, you'll pretty much be giddy most of the time upon its delivery. That, and considering that Spokane has such dry summers, you'll get to play with it a LOT more than I would on this side of the state (hence the strong consideration of the coupe possibility). Oh, I forgot to ask...did you go through Park Place, or a different dealer? If I recall, you said you were going through some place back east.

Oh, and one other observation...you're awfully opinionated about Ford stuff for someone who was such a staunch GM guy for so many years! See? Eventually, everybody has to come to the dark side! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha! (ok, that was a bit much...I need to go mow the lawn, or something.) 'later!

Hi Tim, It's me again. You're right I have fallin off the GM wagon. Just this one time though. How could I not. Much to glee of all you darkside Fordaholics. I did talk to a fellow at Park Place and was left totally put off. I don't remember why now. After that I got ahold of Dynamic Motorsports in Ross Ohio. Betweem them and Preformance Engineering, also in Ross Ohio, this project was put together there. A though about your FE stuff. I know the heads are cast iron. Pretty heavy. I don't know about the intake manifold. Crank, a keeper unless you would go to a longer stroke. If you do go the FE route, which how can you not if you do THE ROADSTER!!!!!!!!!!, check out the aftermarket blocks. Cast iron, which is the way I went, or aluminum. I felt it worked out better to use a Genisis block for this build. I'm sure your Dad is dancin around grinin from ear to ear cause of my slippin over to the darkside. Good luck with your quandry. Cya, Jerry
