Jockey...let me add one last comment perhaps. I have no idea about the frame you have and what will or will not work, since I built a Lonestar. The frame on the Lonestar is 2" x 4" box frame and I covered every one of the 2" upper surfaces in hard neoprene rubber strip 2" x 1/4". Works perfectly and NO rattles at all. The one downside is since I used fairly hard rubber, the body sits about 3/16" higher than without it.
Go check out the picture in my photo gallery about 'leaving the track'. If you blow it up you can just about see the rubber stripping on top of the frame girders.
