Lewis,
Since this deal started out that your brother wanted a Corba after seeing yours (I hope I have this fact straight), shouldn't your brother be the one that is out $5k?

I do think the crowd has been pretty rough on Lewis, and maybe deservidly so, but we sure shouldn't be offending our Austailian friends.
I will point out that during the 2000 election, in this country, some people thought that they should be able to change the election rules and deadlines and to he!! with the laws. About half the country sided each way, and there have been hard feelings and mean spirited crap going on ever since.
At least in Lewis' defense the law in his country seems to be different than ours. So where is all the soft hearted Dems at? I would think they would be flocking to his side. They should truly understand his pain.

Great thread - away for an hour and three more pages! Reminds me of that
pink rabbit with the cymbals.
All this in a little over 24 hours, truly a bonus in the world of entertainment.

Old Dog...hehehe...I appreciate your reference to hard feelings, followed by a reference to "soft hearted Dems."
I actually do more than a bit of work involving Australia and its laws (I represent that big can beer brewer of yours over here in their wine interests). Amazingly, contract formation and interpretation is mighty damn close to our own. Not surprizing given our mutual reliance on our legal traditions being grounded on that of that little isle north of France.
But folks...I've sort of been chuckling a bit about all of the discussion about Aussie law. See, there's this little matter of where the subject of the contract is located dictating the legal venue, which is a basic rule of international law.
Assright...Joisey is where the contract be.
Rebel1, in case you misunderstood, I accepted personal attacks against me without responding in kind, as others did. Whether that's gracious or not, I'm not sure. Just didn't seem to be a situation to lash back.
In any event...let's keep this one fun, and forgive each other's unintentional transgressions.

Jamo,
You know that I have been a little critical in the past. My problem, not yours. I think that Ron and you have been very easy going on this one.
JMHO, for what it's worth.

Trevor,
Could be, I have a "Pinot Noir" afterbuzz myself.
I never thought this would be a 20 pager! But, the tide of public opinion is turning! Lewis/Luigi now has 5 votes in the poll!
It must be killing him to watch this and not be able to post in his "unique" (strange capitalazations, spelling and grammer) style. I can picture him banging away on his keyboard and yelling at Jamo as nothing posts!
I am somewhat surprised at the almost universal support Jim has been shown here. As I am close to this and have seen the communications, I know the truth, but others here were astute enough to see it themselves based only on the evidence presented (as with many trials, all of the witnesses and evidence may not be presented to the judge/jury). But then the members here don't like a stranger coming in and pi$$ing all over their corn flakes.
I await the final ruling of the "CZAR"

Now 6. My enthusiasm got the best of me inducing a case of finger stutter and I clicked the wrong button.
If the mods would kindly reverse my vote I'd appreciate it. In case I ever run for President I'd hate to have any support for Loseis on my record. That could really haunt a guy!

My Word is:
I'm keeping outta this! Jim is a big boy now and can fight his own battles, preferably not on a public forum(!)
I was quite sure for at least the first 17 pages that this was an elaborate April 1st giggle, but just maybe... And you wonder why I dont collect watches? Hey ho. I'm gone.
