About the only things I'm sure of so far;

I will probably use 17" instead of 15" wheels.
I like the look of the Halibrand knock-off.
Brakes and suspension will not be exotic, I want off the shelf availability.
I like the Tremec 500 transmission ratios.
It must have both roll bars.
It will be white, likely with orange stripes.
Interior will not be terribly fancy - I might install a stereo. No leather....

Trying to decide on a kit is Job One, and I'm still not certain which ones I like.

Lone Star has my attention with the "big, dumb 9" live axle" and the 4 inch body stretch.

I am NOT in love with an IRS, though I realize that makes me a redneck talking to the debutantes at The Ball.

I still would prefer to build a 460 over an FE motor - Alan, I like your input!
Cost may be easier to swallow, and I'm not a purist in the sense that a kit would be improper without the FE motor. I'll be on the fence for awhile on that one too.

My preferred powertrain is still;
460/aluminum heads - Tremec T 500 - Currie built 9" with gears in the 4.10 range.

Gotta have the cash in hand to buy the kit, and without a lottery windfall that remains months away.

Having the 500 TKO's 3.28 first gear will render it useless for the street with a 4.10 rear gear. I'm running a lone star with 3.73s and a TKO 600 (2.9x first) and first gear is waaayyyy too low, almost unusable for the street. I actually would think a set of 3.30 to 3.00 rear gears (or somewhere in that range) would be a lot better. You'll still have a lot of grunt out of the hole and won't have to rev the snot out of the BB to get it rolling. I find myself sometimes actually starting out in second for easy driving and I'm running 17s too.
