I hate to say it guys but you are missing the big picture here. SB100
allows you to avoid all pollution laws and let's face it the motors you
guys build for these cars are just major pollutors. YOu can stand on a soap box all day long and say you don't drive them but in the end that will not matter. The fact that you spew 20x plus times the legal limit regardless of how much you drive will simply kill this bill in Ca. If anything our elected officals will look at 500 being too much and look at reducing the number to 100, that is real life here in Ca. The State can't afford to lose Federal funds if the air does not meet federal standards. In the Bay Area you can't even light a fire in your fireplace on spare the air days and reports are showing that it works so look for more regulation..those are the facts.
Now if you can meet existing smog requirements then you have a shot at getting some regulation passed with no maximum limit as long as some whinny lady represenative doesn't complain about the lack of modern safety features on these cars...I believe that lady represents Palo Alto amoung others
