Club Cranky......
I am interested in partaking in at least some of the CC events. I have an NAC Cobra with SB in Richmond, VA. I have been out to VIR and would love to put the car through a corner or two. What equipment requirements does VIR have? Dual roll bars? 5 point belts, fuel cell, SCCA license, helmet, firesuit or what? I may need to borrow a trailer, as I drove to the course last time and was a bit nervous even doing parade laps at 90.
Orientation, bring it on. I survived 2 seasons at Club Med AND a Mardi Gras.

rmb,
Contact Mike Stenhouse at www.secondstrike.com. This is the Superformance owners club that runs the event at VIR.
You will need a rollbar that clears your helmet by two inches also 5 point seat belt system plus a SA 2000 helmet. You do not need a competition license.

Cranky,
Are you sure about the SA 2000 Helmet, I was going to wait until 2005 to replace my SA1995.

Helmet OK
Terry,
I was assuming rmb didn't have a helmet and was going to buy one now. I am sure the SA 1995 will be good for a few more years.

I would like some information on the club and how to join. I recently purchased a superformance with a 392 stroker from snakepit automotive. Danny Ostrower suggested I contact Club Cranky because as he said there are a bunch of guys who like to air it out on tracks and talk cars. He mentioned John McMahon as the person to contact. Could you give me some details?

I want to see some real performance cars and not these little rice burners they have over here. I had a really good time at the Glen. So id like to do it again. If yall leave before i get back send some directions to my dad so i can drive down there.

Well after a lengthy "away" period I'm back and signing up for VIR in May. I am also checking the list for other open track events to sign up for. I could even be persuaded to provide some "liquid refreshments" at VIR in order to "buy" my way back into THE Club.

Ralph,
That's good news.
I hope to make it to VIR with my 289...but I am running out of time and still have a long way to go. Time will tell.
FYI...the only way into the club is to:
A) Bring al-kee-hol
B) Continue lying about how close on my bumper you were.

Cranky,
I am signed up for the May 17 &18 VIR dates thru Second Strike. Is there a conflict here? If not, does that qualify me for membership? Hell, I'll join anything if it doesn't cost "another" arm and leg. Are there any CC members down in So. Fla?

What's the story on Lime Rock? What are your dates? How do I join? Do I have to run the Cobra or can I use the Porsche?
