My email said 8:30 at Idaho Rd. The drive to Superior will take awhile as the Rennasiance is going on.

Meeting time with the Tucson gang is up to John. I'm thinking we meet them in Superior like the last time during Stuarts off road adventure. Or we could meet them in Kearney.

Hey to all, Since we are going to Globe for lunch and lunch usually begins at 11:00 am I suggest that we back up the times. If we need to be there at 11:00 am then we need to leave Winkleman at 10:15 am. Assuming that some of you guys will need to get gas / use rest room in Winkleman you need to arrive there at 10:00 am. In the past we have meet you guys about three blocks north of the gas station and driven to the gas station as a group. THEREFORE, the Tucson Cobras will meet the Phoenix Cobras in Winkleman at 10:00 am. THIS SATURDAY.

I'll cut some slack in the summer since being out in the heat of the day is not for all, but seriously....what's the deal with all these runs being pre-dawn??? (slight exaggeration for effect....but not by much)

Are you afraid you'll miss your beauty sleep? Take my word for it, it won't help. We have plenty of evidence of that. Just look around you. Karl, Mikie, John.

John, meeting in Winkleman is OK with me. Do we count cars at Challo's just before lunch?

Sounds like it's choice time.. Choose parties with lots of food, drink and fun women or a cobra ride with the old men listed above. Hmm...???? Which to choose?

Afternoon cruises eliminates the need for a choice! Most of the runs I have been on with you guys I just didn't go to bed the night before, so there was no need to wake up early. I have to be in Safford at 9:30 this morning, so I've been up all night! So are we still expecting rain this weekend?

Hey, since I think Phoenix sucks, even tho' I live here in the Valley of the Smog Clouded Sun, can I be an honorary Tucson representative for the day?

Dale,

You can move anytime you want. LOL LOL. Buried deep in those 14 pages, in very small print, it says you must be willing to be a hand maiden to John. Feed him grapes and other fruits while he is lounging on his chaise. Also he needs to be fanned with egytpian palm fronds.

Do you still want to join them?

Mike

Hey azfordman I am with you about the so called chump challenge. I stirred up a bunch of s--- the last time we had the challlenge and got Ol' mikiec and a few of his lackies all fired up. It was great. The fact of the matter is we actually had more cars at the last event and John ingnored the count and the claims of several of his Tucson Cobra comrades, three of which unfortunatley will never go again. And in fact have not attended a group get together since. That number does not include me, but I would like to see a tough challenge or a some fun challenges. Most Cobra drivers love challenges, but no one likes a challenge that is doomed from the start, so a lot of Tucson drivers won't go.

I still contend as I did the last time this chump challenge came up that the the group receiving the challenge has the right to pick the weapons, or venue, or set some of the terms which of course Ol' mik and John refuse to talk about because ol mic is scareed of losing a real challenge, and John I think just likes to buy ice cream.

I sent John a whole bunch of suggestions for fun challenges (including a 5-6 man on each side tug of war) that make more sense than How Many Cars Can You Muster, but he has not resonded to my e-mail. LLIke I said, I think John just likes to lose and buy Ice Cream.

Can't imaginethat John "likes" to buy ice cream. He's almost as tight with his money as I am, and I'm one cheap rooster fish. Then again, he has sure is good at buying it. Maybe he just likes having a bunch of $2 bills in his hand. (ho-house money)

Those are called stripper coupons.

I'm with azfordman and nightenforcer. We need some sort of other competition besides numbers if it is going to be fair otherwise call it what it is, a John buying ice cream run.

Hey Nighty I wondered if you would stick your 2 cents in here.

The only club rule has always been. You show up, great the more the merrier. You don't, we don't give a crap. This event has always been about getting both camps together for some bonding. Not some stinking ice cream. As far as losing this challenge, I have begged and pleaded with the Tucson gang to come and participate more. As far as a numbers game, who cares. It doesn't cost you anything does it?

You have a good challenge that incorporates a drive location to be between Phx and Tucson, set it up. No racing or childish games. To old for that stuff. Ball is in your court.

Mike

Sure would be nice to have a place to run hard but not race. I am tired of driving slow. I am with Mikey concerning racing. You just f...k up the cars and then your wives *****. A little timed event where you can "wine" these toys out.

Too bad Bob Bondurant won't let us all go there and really push the cars without spending a ton of money. Insurance and government rules have taken the life out of everything! Can't wait until the dollar collapse or you have to buy oil with something other than the dollar. Good luck

Better us all save our money because we are not going to have much next year with these clowns in congress. I hope they shut it down for a week or so.

If I could get a few people in the Fiesta Bowl next year would anybody be interested or would these cars just over heat and catch on fire.

Just rebuilt my clutch and tranny. I want to go fast......where?

Fitz, The Fiesta Bowl parade would be great. We could have a dedicated hoser to keep some of the cars cool. I know Dave Schulak looked into it a few years ago.

Work your magic. I'm in.
