Now that was just mean, you could have gone all day without saying that, but I do believe someone else would have taken the shot if you had not been the first to do so. Is the hill steep?

Yep, it will fatten the mixture from the lower density/O2. Although a seat of the pants HP loss may be noted all the more reason for a big big block. 
Injection with a closed loop also cures any altitude issue but all kidding aside if carb/s are set up properly for 2K elevation of Phx. then 6K+ is no problem.
