Tony, we have not received any response on the press release from the 5 local TV stations or the AZ Republic. I sent it to all. Charlie Sullins is helping on this subject but no promises. Really doesn't matter, this wasn't about publicity and we already feel good about fulfilling a dying request to show a lifetime of love.
I'm already gratified with tears of joy.

I agree. I read this from the first post (before any replies) and my first reaction was there will there will be more cars than they can possibly imagine. Great job guys! I hope you can all sneak in unnoticed and get into a great formation and roar all those engines all at once. Wish I lived closer.

SandyC 02-24-2012 10:53 PM

I'll be there too.

I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks reading this thread. Richmond, VA is a bit long of a drive or I would be there with bells on!
What a great thing to be able to do do. Good job, guys!

Varmit 02-25-2012 07:05 AM

Maybe someone can bring him a Cobra Hat and T shirt. What a marvelous thing you guys are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really hope he has the time of his life. God Bless him and his family!!!

My thoughts of the media attending. We are not doing this for fame and glory. We are just trying to help a patient with a wish for her husband.

Media coverage should be up to her.

Fitz 02-25-2012 10:37 AM

Ok just on page 4 to Keith. Looking forward to it? I will be there?

Correct.

One more?

Got room for one more? If so, I'd be honored to help anyone in hospice care. They did so much for my Mother at the end.

dave from mesa 02-25-2012 04:48 PM

Dang I hate putting this in print but I agree with Mikie. The lady should be the one that contacted the media. They may not want to have there name mentioned under the circumstances. I'm not doing this for any other reason than to help them live a dream. It is enough that the ppl on this forum know about it.

mto you are more than welcome to join us. Be at the Basha's at 11:30.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-25-2012 06:18 PM

I doubt there will be any media there. If so, the hospice can benefit from the exposure. I cannot forsee any negative.

mikiec 02-25-2012 08:33 PM

Great. This looks like more than they expected.

DAVID GAGNARD 02-26-2012 07:41 AM

This is a great thing you'll are doing and I'm sure everyone on CC is proud of you'll.........

We do a similar thing down here, at our local road course many drivers including myself have volunteered to the Louisiana State Police Make-A-Wish Foundation and we have given rides and even let others drive our cars on the road course for a wish they had, it's the best feeling in the world one can have.....

Keep it up and congrats to all...........

David

Don't worry about the media. Just enjoy the day and feel good that you could help. When I was a scooter tramp, we had a saying, "When we do right on one remembers. When we do wrong, no one forgets." Wish I could be there with all of you. Maybe ol' Shel will show up. He's in AZ, right?
