Hey, Bill. Remember what happened the last time you attended a car show.

I may drive down for a visit.

How do you drive to the Monterey Carmel thingy without your back becoming so painful drugs are the only result?

This is a bad thing?

Good for you. How many guys are actually going to "do" the Bob Bondurant festival - actually take the cars out for a little work out before we get too old to push them.
I did the 4 day Grand Prix course and refresher course few years later. Most dam fun I have had since that first pork!
Driving the vets and formula something's was a blast and very $$. This is why this is cheap in comparison but $350 is tough! Roll call please?

Hello Everyone,

I spoke with Oz at Marlen Motorsports who is managing the event and he has an incredible list of celebrities, drivers and cars that will be attending. Including Jim Click with his two, 289 Comp. Cobras, GT40 Mk.1 and his Bud Moore Boss 302. Cobra ace driver Don Roberts, Shelby/BRE driver John Morton, USRRC driver Paul Reinhart, Shelby mechanic Charlie Agapiou and many, many others.

The event will take place here at the grand opening of the renovated Wild Horse Motorsport Park. We are less than 20 minutes from the Phoenix Airport and 30 minutes from Scottsdale with 4 Diamond hotels nearby as well.

This will be a fantastic and historic event. Hope to see everyone in October!

Cheers

I'd like to race, but the info doesn't specify what certifications, if any, are needed. So, are we on track with pros, novices, beginners, or a mixed stew? They also don't specify which track and how many runs (7 are scheduled per class) I'm going to call Marlen tomorrow. If you have other questions you'd like me to ask, let me know.

Me too (4 day Grand Prix and the Z06 Experience). Great experience. During the GP course when I came off track I proclaimed it as being better than sex. Can you guess what was the first thing some my classmates told my wife when she came to visit? Yep.

Are you coming to the annual fundraiser party on the 14th?

Did you buy a raffle ticket for the GT500?

I did the advanced class this spring - almost 12 hours of track time in two days.

They are doing an advanced class at Circuit of the Americas in October (I think only open to previous advanced class attendees, but maybe all you need is the 4 day). Thinking of doing it but it's pricey (~10K for 2 days)

I just heard from one of the Bay Area Cobra Club members. He is going to trailer his car down in hopes of getting on the track? Sounds like a busy weekend.

Dave, that would make a great thread to start about car names.
