Go mechanical. If I looked down and saw zero oil pressure on my gauge (while driving) I would shi* a brick. Then, after i pulled off to the side of the road, I'd have to figure out a way to check the oil pressure without starting it. The only way I know to do that is to pull the distributor and spin the pump by hand. Not being able to do that by the side of the road, I'd have to be towed home. Once would be irritating enough, but twice... no, thrice? You gotta be kidding... trash that POS and get a mechanical gauge.
