Kiwi olly returning to Phoenix
Giddy Arizona Cobras
A couple years ago I was in your neighbourhood and dan graciously picked me up one night to come and meet a few of you and your cars.
I will be back in Phoenix for a few days from November 14-19. It would be nice if we could hook up again. Do you still meet on a regular night at that diner?
I have a couple of things I'd like to do when there so will see how things work out for timing.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Cheers
Olly

Olly, yer a brave, brave man to have ridden with Danr and sound willing to do it again.
If you can spare a day, while you're in the area, I'd gladly put you in my passenger seat for a ride up through the Salt River Canyon. Drop dead gorgeous scenery, and this Cobra of mine, has a teeny-tiny engine that keeps me out of trouble. (unlike my previous car's 550hp/600'# fire breathing RAT MOTOR)

I'm sure the gang will make time for you. The diner has closed.

Thanks guys
Will be in touch a little closer to time.
I have a work mate with me also as we are there for training.
Hopefully if it's not too much trouble we could find another spare seat.
Cheers

Olly, I have no doubt that several of the guys would be more than willing. That time of the year, even the "fair weather" folks will use any excuse to get their cars out for a spin.

Olly,
You may want to check Karl's driving history and make sure your life insurance is plenty and up to date.
Just sayin...

Mikiec was the only one I heard screaming.
I was to busy wheeling to avoid a silver Cobra parked dead nuts in the burn out path.

Hi guys
We fly in on Friday 13th .
Just wondering if we can nail down a day and a time to catch up so we can plan our day out.
Either Saturday or Sunday morning would be preferred but will just work in with you guys.
We have a rental so can meet you wherever convenient.
Looking forward to catching up.

Karl...I'd still be keen on that offer of a drive around the neighbourhood if your still able to.
And also if someone else is keen to come along with a spare seat so my work mate could come along.
Failing that the pavilion thing sounds like a good second option.
Please let me know soon
Thanks

Olly, be glad to. Only issue is that right now, I'm waiting for new knock off adapters for my front wheels. I sent the LF to Bob at Vintage Wheel because I had .025" runout and had an ugly shimmy about 72MPH. Just what day will you be available? I'll urge Bob to get my parts in the mail today and they will hopefully arrive Wednesday or Thursday, since there just coming from California.

Karlos- Let me know if a plan comes together for a drive on Saturday
Since I can't do the full weekend California trip, I might be able to meet up with the the east-side guys for a few hours.

thanks Bob sounds great ..lets hope your parts arrive.
As far as which day is concerned, its makes no difference to us. we are free either day, its more a case of trying to pre arrange a day so we dont end up wasting the free time we do have. only there for a short stay so would like to make the most of it.
just let me know what works best for you guys
cheers

Olly, since Saturday's show at the Pavilions is usually very good, how about we plan on a trip up through the Salt River Canyon Sunday morning. That would be probably be at least a 4-6 hour drive, if we went on up to Showlow. Nice ride through some desert, then mountains, and tall pine country. If you don't want that much seat time, we could find something closer, but with less impressive scenery. Where will you be staying?

Karl
sorry, just realised i called you Bob.
yeah, that sounds good. I think i went up that way last time i was over, went to an old gold mine town towards superstition mountain and then to a lake or reservoir and on a ferry ride around it.
cant remember the name for sure, but either way sounds like a good trip.
4hrs sounds good to me, stop for bite to eat and a coffee.
im staying close to Phoenix Intl airport on North 44st double tree suites.
just let me know a time and place to meet. usually wide awake at about 3am after the trip over not saying we need to meet quite that early
any ideas yet if another car with spare seat is coming?
could a get a number off you just in case it all goes pear shape? maybe PM me if you dont want it broadcast. seeing as the forum is the only means of comm it may be a little slow.
cheers

If Karlos' car is ready (which it sounds like it should be) then I'll join up with you guys and will provide the extra seat...
